This year's Gamescom appears to be one of the biggest yet. Despite the absence of major publishers such as Ubisoft, PlayStation, EA, and others, the trade convention will be hosting a record number of exhibitors.
There will be a total of 1,220 exhibitors from 63 different countries which represents a 7% increase compared to last year's Gamescom. Additionally, the size of the convention has also increased by 4.5% and now encompasses 230,000 square metres of the Koelnmesse convention centre.
It remains to be seen whether this surge in exhibitors will lead to an influx of more attendees and whether this year's Gamescom can surpass last year's attendance of 265,000 visitors over its four-day duration.
